The Boy is 2!

Caelin turned 2 this past Sunday and we celebrated it with a big family BBQ. The birthday boy had 2 candles in his rack of ribs. Yep, ribs. He loves ribs and has for about 6 months now. Infact, he likes them so much that he ordered them all by himself, unprompted I might add. The waiter asked "and anything to drink for the little guy" and he responded "RIBS, RIBS, RIBS." I don't think I've ever seen Ross so proud.

Caelin enjoyed his ribs, Mason's company and swinging on the swing for his second birthday. Time sure flies. Oh, by the way, if you want a great tasting, easy ice cream cake try out this receipe, it was a big hit. Hmmmmm

In the past year I have taken the time to read blogs on the Internet in search of a way to let my mind wander and escape everyday life. Lots of times I find that I can relate to the writings of my favorite bloggers and use their tips and creativity as inspiration in my life and everyday projects. Today, I received an email from a friend with this attached. Thought I'd share with you the creativity my blog has instilled in this certain friend. Guess this collage tells it all ;) Happy Weekend.

Rocks

What is it about little boys, dogs and rocks. Heading to the beach is the best way to run down a 2 year old. Caelin threw rocks in the Bay for about an hour and the dogs kept fishing for them. Well, actually Kylie, one of our chocolate labs chased the rocks Ross threw and all along Caelin thought they were chasing his rocks. He was having so much fun that it took him a minute to realize that his pants and sneakers were getting all wet. Let me tell you the water was cold! I thought I'd be smart and walk out a ways to get better pictures, I thought my feet were going to fall off! Imagine, as a kid growing up on the shore I would swim in that water and think nothing of if, guess I'm not as tough as I used to be. See what Georgia thought of our outing :)

Photo Fun

May Update

Here we are almost at the end of May. The kids are growing as fast as the dandelions on my lawn. We wanted to share with you some pictures from their photo shoot today. They performed for the camera, well, Georgia did. Caelin, well he's 2 so to get him to stay still for a second is a challenge and a half. He's a lot like me that way. Georgia is clapping her hands now on command and likes to play peek-a-boo with her blanket. Caelin's big thing is going outside, its almost impossible to get him in. This boy is talking up a storm, a little chatter box. He's sleeping in a big boy bed and today was the first morning he figured out that he could get out of bed without mom telling him to get up. Caelin was very excited when he came into our room. As I'm typing this, Georgia just crawled from the office to Caelin's room and woke him from his nap....oh....just heard the Lego box tip over. Never a dull moment :)

Lights

I Love Lights!!! Lights are so cool.

You can count on toys with lights to distract Caelin. Can you guess where this photo was taken? This is my rear view mirror when we were waiting to get off the ferry. The Buzz toy sure came in handy in keeping Caelin from a melt down. He was ready to get on the road. Thanks for Buzz Stacey!

Mother's Day

Here are some shots of me and the little family on Mother's Day. We had a great day. I awoke to 4 beautiful Roses on the counter and cute cards from the kids and Ross. Lunch was cooked for me and we had a nice visit with Grammie and mom of course. Thanks for the cute outfits Ada & Steve and thanks to Tanya for taking the pictures for us.

Nap Time = Mom Time

Don't you just love those afternoons when the kids have their naps. The house is peaceful, quiet and you can hear yourself think. There's something about a resting child that is just so darn cute.
