This is an example of how people with lower vision may interpret something we would see everyday in the country. Do you know what it is?
Good luck trying to get a posed picture of your kids.....I'm learning to cope with the fact that it is was it is. Kids are kids and no matter how big the adult trying to manage them, they're going to do what they want when they want. Take this photo shoot for example, the kids would not cooperate. The girl didn't want to have anything to do with it, can't you tell? And the boy was too busy telling me when to take the picture to focus on listening to my photo posing directions. So, here are my kids, and here is their "formal Christmas picture" for this year. It about sums up the kids and how they are this year, all over the place, into everything, curious about things and wanting to do they're own thing. You can dress them up but you can't take them anywhere. Have fun!
One of my favorite things to do is add color to a black and white image drawing your eye to the colored object. I also seem to like taking shoe pictures these days. 20 years from now these kids will be saying...."remember when crocs were all the rage...." How Fun. I have boring brown Crocs, although it was a toss up between brown and hot pink. How boring of me to choose brown. I will choose better next time.
Recently, the boy was playing with these toys. Remember these kitchen toys? My cousin kept them all this time from when her kids were small now the next generation is playing with them. Looking at this makes me feel 4 again, takes me right back to pretending to drink chocolate milk out of that brown bottle to playing with the chicken, opening it up to find a surprise egg.
Sometimes you have to take pictures when an opportunity presents itself. So, here we are dressed in our country attire at 9am this morning. This hay wagon has been in the field across from us for a couple of days, I thought it would make an interesting place for a family shot. The photographer....me....and the self timer. Try it out sometime, you can get great shots.
Thank goodness for pools and popsicles on a hot day. Nothing is more refreshing than feeling all hot and sticking only to be relieved by diving in the water. Here's some pics from the family pool we visited over vacation. G and C had lots of fun swimming. One of us had more fun playing a bucket of water than the pool (guess he didn't like jumping in with me). Popsicles are a new treat in this household (although I'm going to make some of the dripless ones)...check out those cute oreo boys.
Here's a look at some of the sites we see while visiting the family in New Brunswick. The Saint John River is beautiful and not unlike our valley here at home. While visiting we see different crops, potatoes of course and my favorite, sunflowers. Check out the covered bridge, always fun to drive through.
This snapshot about sums it up around here lately. CRAZY! Summer time is always busy with our jobs and such, then throw in the two youngins and you get a zoo! The boy runs around in the evenings like a wild man and the girl competes by squealing at the top of her lungs, they're both seeking whatever attention they can get. So, here I am enjoying the peace and quiet reflecting on my day....and crazy describes it! I am thankful for a quiet evening to recharge for the next round.

Worked on a family heirloom today and had a lovely day without the little darlings. My goal is to get this rug done before the end of September. I only started hooking it about 4 years ago and its still not done. I just have to finish the border, simple right? Would be simple if I didn't have so many other fun things to do. I'll finish it for Georgia, guess it will be her's someday.
